  • Virtual catalogs help retailers convert paper-catalog shoppers to online shopping, said Scott Silverman, executive director of Shop.org, the digital division of the National Retail Federation in Washington.
  • Consumers who purchase via multiple channels are more valuable than single channel buyers. A Shop.org’s study reveals that multichannel shoppers buy 12 percent more frequently and have a 32% greater annual spending rate than consumers that shop in stores only. (Catalog Success, June 2008)
  • In his article, “8 Ways to Increase Web Sales,” Joe Keenan, Senior Editor at Catalog Success, offers several tips on how best to convert website traffic into sales, with one of the tips being the implementation of an e-catalog. According to Haggin, “the e-catalog combines the page-flipping catalog experience with the click-and-buy e-commerce experience. It can also be used to incorporate multimedia to enhance the customer’s product consideration experience.”
